Argosy University Offers Online Degree in Forensic Psychology

Argosy University is an online school through which students can pursue a variety of arts programs, including a masters in forensic psychology.

Students who complete an online degree program in forensic psychology sometimes go on to work in the criminal justice and civil legal systems, according to Argosy's website. The Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) says about one in three psychologists have their own practice. Some of these men and women have also completed a PhD or PsyD, and may have special licenses as well.

In addition to its master's program, Argosy University offers two doctoral degrees and one bachelor's degree in psychology. The university's American School of Professional Psychology opened in 1975, and Argosy University now offers classes on its 19 campuses for students who prefer traditional schooling to studying online.

Many people choose to earn their online degree because doing so can be more convenient and less expensive than attending classroom instruction. Some schools, like Argosy University, offer the possibility to both attend classes in person and to complete courses via the Internet.
