RN to Bachelor of Science in Nursing
The Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), accredited by the Commission of Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), is a program designed to develop the professional knowledge and skills of registered nurses. The curriculum builds on a foundation of biological, physical, and social sciences, which contribute to the science of nursing. The liberal arts components enhance the development of the intellectual, social, and cultural aspects of the professional nurse.
This baccalaureate program includes behavioral objectives that concentrate on the development of the nurse's role as caregiver, teacher, and leader. Utilizing human caring as a framework, registered nurses are prepared as generalists who are able to apply critical thinking, progressional skills, and knowledge to client outcomes and health care systems.
